Development and poverty governance remain key issues the world over. Since the mid-20th century, economic development has been intricately linked to poverty reduction. The general belief is that the benefits from economic development would automatically trickle down to the poor and lead to poverty reduction.
This IPP International Conference 2017 will feature speakers and participants from the West, East Asia, South Asia, Latin America, and Mainland China to discuss the challenges faced by countries in their global development and poverty reduction initiative. The conference aims to deepen the understanding of the issue of poverty alleviation through analyses of poverty governance experience in China and around the world.
