Education and Work Experience

Assistant Research Professor of the Institute of Public Policy, South China University of Technology.

In 2022, She was awarded a PhD in Media and Cultural Policy from the Centre for Cultural Policy Research (CCPR) at the University of Glasgow. She obtained her BA degree from East China Normal University (ECNU), and her MSc degree with distinction from the University of Glasgow.

May 2021 – September 2021 Teaching assistant of Issues in Audience Management (IAM) (FTV5007), at the School of Culture and Creative Arts, University of Glasgow.

Research Directions
She is presently researching the intersection between politics and culture in the shifting geopolitical landscape. Her research interests include digital regulation, China’s national discourse and global communication.
Research Achievement

She is the author of Media Power and its Control in Contemporary China: The Digital Regulatory Regime, National Identity, and Global Communication (2022, Palgrave Macmillan). Her publications have appeared in journals such as International Journal of Cultural Policy, International Journal of Communication, Place Branding and Public Diplomacy, and AI & Society.

She is currently serving as Deputy Director of the Guangdong International Communication Research Center (SCUT). She has made outstanding contributions to policy research.
