Potential Risks Faced by the Transformation of the International Order and the Responses from Upgraded Global Economic Governance
At present, the international order is in a period of accelerated change. Studying the main factors affecting the current international order, such as neoliberalism contradictions, scientific and technological progress, great power relations, and public goods supply, can help us accurately grasp the development trend of the international situation and predict the direction of the future international order. In order to prevent the risks arising from the changes in the international order, we need to systematically master the several “traps” that the international community may encounter. How to cross these “traps” is a test of the wisdom of all countries. These “traps” facing the international community in the future have both objective and subjective triggers. As for the major powers, only by facing up to history, making rational decisions, exchanging views, and attaching importance to cooperation can they successfully overcome these “traps”, maintain world peace and development. Actively resorting to global governance cooperation has become the vital way for the international community to overcome these “traps”.
